SWEEPSOUTH CONNECT

We’ve recently launched SweepSouth Connect in Port Elizabeth to increase the platform availability to enlist more service providers in South Africa.

FUND

When South Africa went into the nationwide lockdown, we quickly put measures in place to allow clients to contribute funds for their canceled bookings and we seeded a COVID-19 Fund, to provide food and necessities to active SweepStars and their families.

EDUCATION

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak and the first announcement by our President, we’ve started sending out extensive communications through our own platforms, to inform SweepStars about the precautionary measures they need to start putting in place when attending a booking at a client’s home.

CHILDCARE

With the announcement of lockdown level 4, and live-in domestic workers and childcarers allowed to return, we amended our existing service offering to include childcare as a means to sustain and upskill the SweepStars on our platform, allowing SweepStars with childcare experience, to go back to work.

SDI INITIATIVE

Another initiative we launched was a partnership with SDI, branching out to Commercial & Sanitisation Cleaning for retailers, malls, offices, and general commercial spaces. With some training from the SDI Team, we were able to utilise the skills of another subset of SweepStars, allowing more of them to go back to work during lockdown level 4.

LEVEL 3 UPDATE

As the entire country moved to level 3 on 1 June, we were excited to have more indoor and outdoor SweepStars being able to go out to work, provided that they have passed an educational course on sanitisation cleaning, have access to the necessary protective equipment, confirm they and their household are free from symptoms on a daily basis and are not at high risk due to age or due to diabetes, immune, cardiovascular or respiratory illness.

With the aim to provide more work opportunities, we increased the number of operational areas for our outdoor and gardeing services, along with number of active Outdoor SweepStars.

With the launch of SweepSouth Connect in PE, we also added a few more services and increased the number of service providers across the country.

COMMERCIAL CLEANING

Since the launch of our commercial sanitisation service in partnership with SDI, we are continuing to create opportunities for SweepStars during the national lockdown. So far, we handed over fours cars to over four SweepStars turned SMMEs.

THANK YOU FROM THE SWEEPSTARS
