If insurance was not opted into, unfortunately you will not be able to raise a claim against any damages, breakages or losses.

For a nominal cost of R19 per booking for once-off bookings, and R12 per booking for recurring users, this insurance covers select Household and All Risk items for a broad range of accidental breakages, damages and loss.

Accidental damage or loss cover for household items up to R5000. Household Items refer to free-standing stoves, freezers and fridges.
Enjoy all risk cover for all your movable, non-household items up to R3000. These are categorized as All-Risk Items and are normally the smaller items of the household, such as clothing.
Money, electronics
(cellphones), jewellery
Items fixed to the structure
(i.e if you were to turn your house upside-down, anything that fell out and broke would be covered and everything that did not, would not be covered, e.g. fixed cabinets, shower doors etc...)
Superficial damages
(such as scratches that still leave items in working condition).
